Service Introduction

What is “Import Data”?

After successful registration, users can choose to import data and fill in the real and valid data link and extraction code (if any) to enjoy the gene sequencing data analysis service provided by DNAChron.

What is “Genetic Sequencing Data Analysis”?

After successfully downloading your sequencing data, we will use advanced algorithms to analyze the data; Y-chromosome data analysis can be adaptively utilized for 18M sequencing data, not only for traditional age-estimation intervals (8M); it can also give ranges and probabilities for different segments; the higher the coverage of sequencing data, the more accurate the age estimation; for whole genome sequence samples or branches, INDEL and MNP can be used additionally and increase the age estimation accuracy. Based on the efficient use of sequencing data, we can find more mutations and help to clarify the tree uncertainty of each branch, especially the branches with strong outbreaks, and show the coverage; we can analyze the position of your and show it on the ytree within 1-3 working days.

What is “ytree”?

DNAChron is a global Y-chromosome phylogenetic tree based on global public samples, ancient samples, and private sequencing data, which is not only limited to registered users, but also includes public information such as clade, sample, common ancestor age, clade details, and Individual details of the ytree that can be viewed by visitors.

What is the “isogg tree”?

Isogg tree on DNAChron is a Y-chromosome phylogenetic tree that we constructed based on original isogg tree, which is convenient for users and visitors to check the location of the ytree corresponding to the isogg numbers used by various papers, testing organizations, research institutions, etc.

What is a “Personal DNAChron”?

DNAChron is dedicated to creating an open, friendly, and high-quality genetic content platform. For this purpose, we offer a personal DNAChron section. You can fill in or edit your personal DNAChron based on your or an authorized person’s family history, traceability results, and other information, and choose to make your DNAChron public so that other users can view and contact you. This is to provide you with a better service experience and to improve the quality of the DNAChron platform.
