  • C: Chronicle, which is used to identify SNPs named in the DNAChron
  • DC: Alphabetic abbreviation of DNAChron, which can be used as a numbering prefix for the tester
  • A: ancient, which is used to identify ancient samples
  • ybp: Years Before Present, which is used to identify the most recent common ancestral age of this paternal branch
  • BAM: a compressed binary version of a SAM file (a text-based format for storing biological sequences), which is used to represent the aligned sequence of a comprehensive Y-DNA test. It is the most common form of file for Y chromosome depth testing
  • CRAM: a re-encoded version of a SAM file
