DNAChron Content Guidelines
DNAChron is dedicated to creating an open and friendly platform for high-quality genetic content. You can fill in or edit your personal DNAChron based on your or an authorized person’s family history, traceability results, and other information, and choose to make your DNAChron public so that other users can view and contact you. To create a good content environment to better play the role of personal DNAChron and communication, and to improve users’ experience of using DNAChron, we have established the “Personal DNAChron Completion Specification” (hereinafter referred to as “the Specification”). All users of DNAChron shall abide by these Guidelines. All contents filled out and edited by users in the Personal DNAChron shall conform to the requirements of this specification. The operation team of DNAChron will manage all contents filled and edited by users in DNAChron in accordance with the terms of this Code.
I. Specification of filling or editing
- You can fill in your DNAChron when you register or create a new Individual, and then you can edit and modify it at any time according to your needs.
- You can fill in or edit your or those of your authorized person’s personal information, family history information, clan contact information, and other contents related to your genes in your personal DNAChron.
- The contents of the personal DNAChron shall not violate the relevant laws and regulations, and shall not be published or disseminated in the personal DNAChron containing:
- Any illegal, threatening, harmful, abusive, or otherwise objectionable content, including degrading, defamatory, vulgar, hateful, libelous, fraudulent content or communications, obscene, pornographic, explicit, sexist, racist, terrorist, religiously offensive, or invasive of another’s privacy;
- Content that is prohibited by local laws, regulations or these rules, other related agreements/rules, etc.
- Personal DNAChron content must not be posted to attack DNAChron or other users of DNAChron by invoking war, contempt, slander, ridicule, provocation, humiliation, abuse, discrimination, threat, harassment, or other unfriendly comments.
- The contents of the personal DNAChron shall not be published in violation of basic biological knowledge or exaggerated, far-fetched, intentionally misleading, or impersonating others.
- No false or deceptive contact information of clansmen or any advertising information or similar information shall be published in the contents of the Personal DNAChron.
- Please be careful in filling out and editing the contents of your or that of your authorized person’s personal DNAChron. DNAChron encourages users to fill out and continuously edit the personal DNAChron of the Individual so that you can have a better service experience and improve the quality of DNAChron’s platform.
II. Processing process of violation
- DNAChron discovers illegal contents of users’ personal DNAChron through two ways: active discovery and receiving reports from users. Users can report suspected illegal content and users via customer service email and private messages. Illegal content will be handled by the DNAChron operations team according to the rules. In most cases, the DNAChron Operations Team will first issue a warning and allow the user to correct the offending content, but this does not mean that the DNAChron Operations Team must first issue a warning before taking any action.
- Once it is determined that offending content has been posted, the account in question will be subject to the following actions:
- Warning: The administrator will delete the corresponding content and notify the offending user by in-site message.
- Blocking: According to the severity, the account will be blocked for 3 days, 7 days, 15 days, 30 days, or permanently (blocking the account’s private messages, personal center, and other functions) and the offending content will be deleted. DNAChron reserves the right to permanently deactivate the account.
III. By-laws
- Users are requested to comply with this Code for any content of their DNAChron that they fill out or edit. DNAChron cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or authenticity of any content posted by users themselves. DNAChron is not responsible for any content not posted by DNAChron, including, but not limited to, errors, omissions, or falsities in such content, or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of such content.
- Any content posted on Personal DNAChron has the right to be defined by DNAChron in accordance with relevant laws and regulations and ethical guidelines.
- DNAChron reserves the right to modify and update the Code from time to time in accordance with the operation of the Website.
- This specification is implemented from the date of publication.
